[sew your own vintage swim suit]
I'm not sure my sewing skills are up for the challenge of this Burda Style vintage swim pattern but I might give it a go anyhow. Is this not the cutest suit ever?

ReplyDeletethat suit is GORGEOUS. i would feel like an old-school movie starlet if i wore it. you should definitely go for it!
ReplyDeleteoh man, where did you find this?
ReplyDeletei have a tear sheet of a similar bathing suit i have been dreaming about ever since i found it. and how many hundreds of times i have thought about taking it in to a seamstress to have it made for me. but i am so nervous about it still-- i mean, even if it's custom made, still-- investing in a swimsuit i've never tried on and have no idea how it will look on me? still scary.
This is beautiful! Lots of attention guaranteed ;P!
ReplyDeleteThis is most definitely the sweetest bathing suit ever! And I like that it has plenty of coverage but still makes a statement =)
ReplyDeleteThis swim suit is sooo adorable! Please share it here with us when its done. :) Love to you!
ReplyDeleteIts beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI found your blog from a comment you posted on another site. I had to come check it out. My daughter and I are sewing vintage inspired swimsuits right now. We are going on a cruise and wanted 60's gidget style two pieces. We found that the original vintage ones didn't fit as well as the ones we can make. This pattern is beautiful. If I finish the ones I have started, I will have to try this one.
